Cartoon Network

Posted on in Tees  |  0 Comments

Recently I was very fortunate to work on some officially licensed Cartoon Network art for the hit TV show Adventure Time. I am a been a big fan of this show and it’s amazing character design. BMO has always been one of my favorite characters. So when it came to designing some apparel for the show I had to start with BMO. For most of the designs I kept a hand drawn feel to the art. I especially wanted to create a large doodle drawing encompassing all of the best characters. I also doodled many sayings and easter eggs from the show around the characters. Cartoon network selected three of my designs and for now they are being sold online. I’m hoping they will get picked up for some retail placement but we’ll see how they do. You can see more detailed images of the designs here.

Fluffy & Agnes StyleGuide

Posted on in News, Style Guide  |  0 Comments

In 2019 I created a style guide for Illumination Entertainment’s Autumn/Winter Fluffy & Agnes consumer product collection. This Style Guide serves to offer graphics and character art to partners and vendors globally so that they can create unique products. Agnes & Fluffy are iconic characters from the Despicable Me movie franchise, recognized globally for their adorable relationship and the “It’s sooo fluffy” movie moment. I created the look, feel and direction of this entire guide. Working with designers, character artists and writers we created a seasonal guide. There are multiple pieces for this project in my portfolio section.

Brew Link Brewing 2019 Beers

Posted on in News  |  0 Comments

Brew Link Brewing Company and I have been building a brand for the past few years. I have designed many cans and bottles for them and this year was no different (you can see some of last years here). Currently available in 8 states and winning awards for their unique beer collaborations, Brew Link is growing. Growing so much that this year they moved their tap room into a much bigger building that houses a tap room, restaurant and decked area. Over the past 12 months they have released many new beers and I have designed cans for five and bottles for a limited edition collection. Here are the details:

1. Lucid IPA – an India pale ale with Citra and Mosaic hops.
2. Vermillion Jack – a red India pale ale, mixing a red ale with a hoppy IPA.
3. Just One S’more – an Imperial milk stout with lashings of chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers.
4. Apple Sauced – a farmhouse special ale infused with apple cider.
5. Pretty Pretty Awkward IPA – a milkshake style India pale ale with pineapple.
6. Limited Edition Ivory Stout bottles – The favorite brew has been remixed with rum, wine and bourbon barrel aging as well as a twist of orange, coconut and blackcurrant.

With moving venues and expanding we made a few less beers this year but the brews remained unique and fun. Designing for Brew Link Brewing is a pleasure. The freedom they afford me as a designer is refreshing. They work hard and push the envelope in the craft beer scene, I’m hoping 2020 will be another great year for this brand.

Vans custom sneakers and bag design

Posted on in News  |  0 Comments

Recently I designed a hand drawn doodle pattern for a pair of custom vans sneakers and a backpack. I designed a large scale doodle featuring typography and characters of all shapes and sizes. I wanted to use black and white for a good contrast of imagery, creating a striking look to the products. I wear Vans myself so getting a pair of custom vans with my art on them was pretty cool.

Megin Clothing

My art work is now being sold on t-shirts in Slovakia and I am pretty excited about that! I worked with Megin Clothing to create a line of apparel last year and now it is live in their web store. They make a range of apparel and accessories, including some unique cut and sew items. The collection includes many of my Day of Dead skull designs and also some of my cuter character art pieces. My art is featured on tees, custom tees and leggings. They also work with champion athletes to promote their brand and philosophy. The tees came out great and based on the images they sent to me, Slovakia looks beautiful. I’m stoked to have my art in this part of the world. It is Crazy to think how far your art can travel. If you like any of the pieces you can find the apparel I designed here.

Mellow Minions

Posted on in News, Officially Licensed  |  0 Comments

After working with Illumination Entertainment on a previous project I was hired to tackle design for the Mellow Minions. I created vector Illustrations of the core Minions characters in a new line art style. The work was created for Illumination Entertainment Consumer Products & Universal Studios, Japan. The Japanese team took the artwork and applied it across a large range of products sold exclusively in the Universal Studios, Japan resort. I was amazed at how many products sprouted from just six character illustrations. I believe around 48 products have been created from this collection to date. I’d like to give credit to Sean Millard for character design support. You can see full details and products here: https://wottoart.com/portfolio/mellow-minions/
