Thinkspace Art Gallery in Los Angeles is like one big happy family with lots of incredible artists on the roster. So, when they asked me to live paint at one of their events I was super happy. I had a 50″ x 50″ canvas to fill in 4 hours. Obviously I decided to not plan the layout and just dive right in. This tactic is risky but I love the energy it brings and the pressure it puts on me to create on the spot. Also, it allows me to get inspired by the event and people attending.

The painting went really well and although I stopped to talk to friends, hydrate and sell a painting (wow) I got it finished. I was happy with the color I choose and the onlookers seemed to love it. Special thanks to fellow artist Goopmassta for the invite!

Zaza & Friends is a lifestyle brand based in Los Angeles, California. They asked me to work with them on a pattern design that could be applied to apparel. Understanding the needs of the project made the repeat pattern a fun project to dive into. I created several versions with different color ways, but this striking yellow and black version won the day. These products were available for a very limited time and are all sold out. Boohoo! kudro Kids is a a new brand specializing in unique kids apparel, accessories and renewable ideas. They offer a trade-in recycle program and try to use lots of otherwise wasted materials. They asked me to create a large scale illustration with many characters, slogans and icons that represented their brand. The illustration was then applied to some limited edition items, denim jeans, bags, and T-shirts. The art also became part of the branding approach, with the inside of their shipping box showing a black and white version. Kudro Kids sent me a package of their final product and I was very impressed with the quality and finish of their products, my daughter loves the jeans!

DesignerCon 2023 was a special event this year. One because it was the last DesignerCon in Anaheim, CA because next year the even moves to Las Vegas, Nevada. Two because I got invited to ride along with Secret Walls for the weekend. The V.I.P attendance on Friday night was a blast, I live painted at the Secret Walls booth and met some amazing artists and fans.

Saturday kicked off with me finishing out my painting, then it was on to stroll the booths. I met up with friends; Matt Gondek, GoopMassa, Sean Keeton, Dreyfus, Allison Bamcat, 7amcreations, Joey Stupor, and RJQuiralta. I also met some new friends; The London Police, Thumbs1, UrbanAztec, TheObanoth, Tara McPherson, Upperhand Art, Space Rabbit Studio, Paul Jackson, Dave Quiggle, Killernapkins and Woes. Next I was part of a panel of artists discussion the importance of collaboration.

The day ended with a classic Secret Walls art battle! It was me, Allison Bamcat and 7amcreations Vs Dreyfus, Goopmassa and The Obaaoth! After the crowd vote and special artists judges my team took the win! Finished the day out with dinner with the Secret Walls crew who are always a pleasure to work with. Sunday I chilled with my kids and dragged myself around the floor one more time! Amazing weekend, one for the books. I was very please to be asked to paint a DIY toy for the launch of the Chamuco Toy by Mr Mitote. Martian Toys and Mothership Art Gallery co-ordinated a group art show featuring many awesome artists. The show opened in Philadelphia in November and my piece sold immediately. I wanted to coat the toy in my signature doodles and kept is simple with just black and white ink. Earlier this year I designed some coffee bags for Philip DeFranco’s brand Wake and Make Coffee. After the success of the launch, the brand wanted to extend their offerings. With the holidays fast approaching, they asked me to design three Cocoa packages. The flavors consisted of Milk Chocolate, Spicy Hot and Peppermint Cocoa. These flavors influenced the final designs, with each container having a unique front and back design. Available for purchase here.
