Strumace Collaboration

This year I partnered with Strumace, a UK based mousepad manufacturer specializing in gaming mousepads. I was drawn to the large formats they sold and was intrigued by their offer to collaborate. They sent me a sample and I am typing this from a keyboard sitting on the pad. It is very high quality and the print is awesome. The detail and color is sharp so it’s a perfect platform for my doodles. I designed several designs and all are available for purchase here.

Scone Ccllim, Korean Bakery Packaging.

Posted on in Branding  |  0 Comments

This commission has been one of my favorites this year. One because it was a fun subject matter – baked goods packaging doodle. Two because the internet and our global connectivity allows me to work with an independently ran bakery in Korea! The Korean bakery Scone Ccllim commissioned me to make a doodle for their packaged goods. The doodle includes their signature scones and other baked goodies. We were two people, both unable to speak the other persons language on the opposite sides of the globe. Using the Google translate app we were able to communicate just sufficiently enough to make this project happen! I love these times we live in. Such a fun project. Check out all the details, there are many!

TextBook NYC Mural & Branding

Posted on in Branding  |  0 Comments

Textbook NYC is a new coffee shop brand based in Brooklyn. The wanted to paint their entire space and asked me to design the characters and doodles to fill it. They also needed a logo and packaging design for cups, paper wraps, bags etc. This project was a labor of love. The building was measured and the doodles had to fill every space. This was challenging because measurements are not always accurate. Once the muralist started we had to fill many areas as we went. Seeing this unfold and the reaction from the public was awesome. Probably one of my favorite projects to date, this is one I am very proud of. The owners were amazing to work with and allowed me a lot of creative freedom. If you live in Brooklyn go check it out. Special thanks to Anna-Grace Walton & Josiah McCloud, the muralists who did an incredible job of translating my art into this giant mural.

Blackstrap Face Mask

I entered a design contest hosted by BlackStrap, something I don’t do very often. Designing masks and gaiters for outdoor sports seemed like a fun idea with a new product type to explore. My submission was a yellow and black design featuring my signature doodles and characters. After a few months they notified me, while I was in Big Bear that I had won and that my design would be turned into one of their products. They also let me know that the design was being made into a snowboard that would be sent out to me. That was pretty exciting. The design has been made into a product and is now available through their store here.

Defy Extreme Air Sports Park

Posted on in Branding  |  0 Comments

Defy Extreme Air Sports Parks are extreme indoor adventure areas that offer a wealth of exciting one-of-a-kind attractions designed to push your limits, allow you to fly higher and just have tons and tons of fun. Catering to adults and kids, these parks are stretched out across the USA with 61 locations! They offer a range of attractions from Trampolines, Battle beams, extreme dodge ball, basketball, air tracks, kid specific jump areas, Ninja courses, parkour courses, stunt falls, trapeze and aerial silks, wall tramp and zip lines! Having visited one of the parks I can attest to how energy packed and fun they are.

Working with Fluid Studio, an agency out of Utah I created a range of illustrations and a logo to support the 2022 Summer “Play-cation” Pass marketing campaign. The illustrations were created to work alongside existing promotional photography for the park. Characters, elements and words were illustrated to demonstrate the high energy experience of the park. These illustrations were used for social media, emails, the Defy website, advertising, animated spots and in-store posters. I also created a set of stickers from the many characters I designed fro this project. This was a great project that matched my art style very well. Both Defy and Fluid Studio were a pleasure to work with.

Inkbox x wotto 2022

Posted on in Collaboration  |  0 Comments

Back in 2015 when Inkbox was starting out I designed a few temporary tattoos for them. Fast forward seven years and I was asked to design some new pieces. Over the years I have been asked to design tattoos and that is always an honor. Temporary tattoos are a little less intimidating because the person won’t have them forever. Based on that, I was more playful with these designs and wanted to explore some unique themes. I submitted many designs and five have been selected so far. I am hoping to build on my collection over the next 12 months.

I have two tattoo bands that feature doodles of apposing themes, Warm & Fluffy and Death & Mayhem. Whether you lean towards the dark side or love fluffy and cute, there is a tattoo band to suit all. I also have a smiley face, a cheeky skull and a spider. These designs are all available via their website: www.inkbox.com
